Venus Beach
Venus Beach has grown in popularity these last few years. I’ve personally noticed how much more crowded it seemed when I went there this year compared to years past. It has nice calm water, making it a great beach for families looking for a relaxing day out with young kids, but it also attracts young adults, teenagers, and older visitors too. I feel this is a beach that really has something for all ages. One thing the older audience will like is the beach bar, where you can get drinks by the beach while enjoying music and the views of the Mediterranean. It gives Venus Beach a more social and enjoyable atmosphere, especially during the summer months when many visitors spend the whole day relaxing by the water. The beach is also a great place for swimming because of its calm conditions and easy access to the sea. Visitors can enjoy sunbeds, umbrellas, and a comfortable beach setting while being close to the attractions and restaurants of Paphos. Whether you are looking for a family-friendly beach, a place to relax with friends, or somewhere to enjoy a drink by the sea, Venus Beach is a great option to add to your Paphos itinerary. Coral Bay Beach Located in the town of Peyia, Coral Bay has been one of the most popular beaches in the Paphos area for years now. I have personally been visiting Coral Bay for over 10 years, and it has always been one of my favorite beaches in Paphos because of its beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere, and everything it offers for a full day by the sea. Because of its nice gentle water and it being a great beach for all ages, when I go there I see families with young children, couples, and older adults all enjoying the beach. The calm conditions make it a great spot for swimming, while the surrounding cliffs and coastal views create a beautiful backdrop that makes spending a day at Coral Bay even more enjoyable. Coral Bay also has a variety of water sport activities to try, including jet skis, getting pulled on a floaty by a boat, and much more. Whether you want to relax in the water or try something more exciting, there are plenty of activities to enjoy during your visit. Coral Bay also includes beach bars and a café overlooking the beach, where visitors can grab a drink or food while enjoying the views. Another thing I personally like about Coral Bay is that after spending the day at the beach, you can head nearby to the Coral Bay Strip, where you will find many restaurants, bars, cafés, ice cream shops, and souvenir stores. This makes Coral Bay a perfect place to check out before or after visiting the beach and is one of the reasons it remains a top beach destination in Paphos. Corallia Beach Corallia Beach, located in Peyia just a few minutes away from Coral Bay, is known for its relaxing atmosphere and family-friendly setting. This is another beach I have been going to for over 10 years, and it is actually my personal favorite beach in the Paphos area because of its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and the overall experience it offers. While it is often overshadowed by Coral Bay because the two beaches are so close to each other, many families actually prefer Corallia Beach because of the quieter atmosphere. It is a great option for visitors who want to enjoy a more relaxed beach day while still being close to the popular attractions and restaurants around Coral Bay. The beach has a relaxing setting, and not too far out in the water there are rocks that many people enjoy swimming out to and climbing on. Corallia Beach also has a beach café, as well as a restaurant located right above the beach with an outdoor pool that is part of a hotel. Visitors are welcome to eat there and enjoy the food and drink options while also taking in the beautiful views from above the beach. Like Coral Bay, Corallia Beach is also located right next to the Coral Bay Strip, where visitors can find many restaurants, bars, cafés, ice cream shops, and souvenir stores. This makes it easy to enjoy a meal, grab a drink, or explore the area before or after spending time at the beach. If you are looking for a quieter alternative to Coral Bay without losing beautiful scenery, convenient facilities, and a great location, Corallia Beach is a perfect choice for your Paphos itinerary. Alykes Beach Located in the heart of the Kato Paphos tourist area along Poseidonos Avenue, Alykes Beach is one of the most convenient beaches for Paphos visitors. There are multiple five-star beachfront hotels nearby, making it easy for visitors to go directly from the beach to their luxury hotels, restaurants, and cafés. It is also within walking distance of Paphos Harbour, making it a great option for visitors who want to combine a beach day with exploring some of the city’s most popular attractions. Alykes Beach definitely gives off a different atmosphere than the other beaches on this list. It has more of a lively resort atmosphere, while other beaches have more natural surroundings and a more beach-focused setting. Being located in the center of Kato Paphos means visitors are surrounded by the energy of the seaside promenade, hotels, restaurants, and cafés, creating a convenient and enjoyable experience. The beach is a great place to relax, swim, and enjoy the Mediterranean while still being close to everything Paphos has to offer. Visitors can enjoy beach facilities such as sunbeds and umbrellas, while nearby restaurants and cafés make it easy to spend the entire day in the area without needing to travel far. One of the biggest advantages of Alykes Beach is its location. After spending time by the sea, visitors can easily walk to Paphos Harbour, explore the promenade, enjoy a meal at a waterfront restaurant, or visit nearby attractions. For travelers staying in Kato Paphos, especially those without a rental car, Alykes Beach is one of the easiest and most convenient beaches to visit. Riccos beach Riccos Beach is located in Geroskipou, just a few minutes east of Paphos Harbour. It is one of the most popular beaches in the area among both locals and tourists. The beach has everything you could ask for, including beautiful sandy shores, clear water, water sports, cafés, and of course Rico’s Beach Bar. The beach bar serves food and drinks throughout the day while offering stunning views of the beach just steps away. As the day goes on and into the evening, Rico’s Beach Bar becomes more lively, with louder music and larger crowds compared to the relaxed atmosphere earlier in the day. The Paphos area has a great variety of beaches to choose from. Hopefully, I helped you find a beach you can enjoy, no matter what you’re looking for.
